Registration for SAEe 2021 is now open!

Participants can only register through the official online platform where they can also book their accommodation in Barcelona: 2021.saeegestion.com.

Please note that participants can pay either with credit/debit card or via bank transfer.

Participation is not guaranteed until full payment of the registration fee is received. Presenting participants must register before 30 October to be included in the final program.

Registration Fees

Non-student participants of the SAEe 2021 must be members of the Spanish Economic Association. You can become a member through the Spanish Economic Association web page or you can pay the non-member conference fee that includes membership in 2021.

Cancellation/refund policy

Cancellation of conference registration and requests for refunds must be submitted in writing. Cancellation requests received by 15 November 2021 will be charged a 20€ processing cancellation fee. Cancellations received between 15 November 2021 and 30 November 2021 will be refunded 75% of the registration fees paid. After 1 December 2021, no refunds will be granted. Refunds are not given for no-shows. Cancellation requests may be e-mailed to saee2021@viajeseci.es (Please include SAEe 2021 Barcelona in the subject).

As of October 15th, the governmental COVID-19 regulations and the University of Barcelona safety protocol allow the Organization of a face-to-face meeting. We expect that these conditions will remain unchanged by the dates of the Symposium in December.

However, should the regulations change by December 1st, making a face-to-face meeting at the campus of the UB impossible or impractical, the organization of the Symposium would consider to hold the meeting in a virtual format. In that case, the organization would refund the registration fee to the authors who preferred not to participate.

The organization is not responsible for any ancillary costs or expenses they may incur due to hotel and travel cancelations.

Grants for students

Fundación Ramón Areces and the Spanish Economic Association awards 75 grants to PhD. students who are presenting a paper at the SAEe. Students applying for a grant must submit a paper before 11 July 2021, and the grant recipients will be announced by 15 October 2021. There is not a specific procedure to apply for the grants. The Scientific Committee will select 75 papers that, according to its quality, will be entitled to receive this grant, which will only covers the registration fee. The selected students will receive a code that they must use during the registration process to have access to free registration.
