Carmen Herrero, former President and Fellow of the Spanish Economic Association and Professor of the Economic Analysis at the University of Alicante, has been awarded the prestigious Rey Jaume I Prize in Economics 2017.
Carmen Herrero holds a PhD in Mathematics from the University of Valencia, Honorary PhD Degree from the University of Granada and since 1990 she is researcher at the Instituto Valenciano de Investigaciones Económicas. She has been visitor at the European University Institute in Florence, at the St. Anthony’s College in Oxford and at the Institute for Advanced Studies in Vienna among other institutions.
